Epiphany Stars – Gifts of the Holy Spirit

Years ago, I learned about Epiphany Stars or Star Gifts. 50 Star shapes would each have a word corresponding to the call of Christ as well as the gifts of the Holy Spirit
written on each star. The stars would be placed in a deep bowl so ever recipient could reach in and draw out one star with one special word that would characterize their year.

I shared these in a children’s message, and love seeing Faith’s Epiphany star hanging in her office. The purpose of these symbols of faith is to hold onto your word and allow it
to lead you into guided mediation and seeing God at work through your life during the year.

This year I invite you to select your Epiphany star gift from the list below. Each word is full of significance. Each word is embedded in Jesus’ call upon your life. But one word will
stand out to you as your special word for the year. Hold onto that word, cut it out, print it is a wonderful font, then leave it in a prominent place to remind you that God is at work
through you. Like 2020 this year will hold surprises, not all will be wanted, so hold onto a bit of God’s Spirit through this new year.  Jane

Do Not Be Afraid! A virtual Christmas Pageant

Our families did an amazing job of putting together this year’s Christmas Pageant! From the safety of their homes, they learned their lines
created their costumes, and filmed their parts to bring this year’s pageant to life. The pageant is available to watch on our website, Facebook page,
the church You Tube channel. Many thanks to our families for continuing this fun tradition!

SCOL Updates

Our Safe Center for Online Learning continues to serve students in our community as we enter a new calendar year. We anticipated Christmas together with our advent Calendar
and nativity bulletin boards and celebrated by making cookies to share with our families. It is so fun to watch our students learn and grow in different ways. If you are interested
in volunteering with SCOL, please reach out to Faith at faith.plumcreek@gmail.com.
