PCPC Annual Events
End of January
It is winter and we need to get warm. Join us in a community chili cook-off. We will provide pots of chili to share, bread, beverages, and supplies. This is a Plum Creek community event, plan on joining us for warm fellowship and chili.
1st Friday & Saturday in May
For over 50 years the Presbyterian Church of Plum Creek has hosted a community rummage sale. Donations of clothes and usable items are collected beginning early in spring and sold at bargain prices. Catch up with your neighbors, share or find a treasure and be blessed. Everyone, Plum Borough and beyond is invited to enjoy the search for bargains and fun.
2nd Friday of June, 4-7pm
Community and all are invited for an evening of food fellowship and fun. Food includes ham barbeque sandwiches, hot dogs, macaroni salad and, of course, strawberries, cake and ice cream.
June & July
The Day Camp board is happy to invite you to register for our annual Day Camp utilizing the excellent challenge course equipment built on our church property. We have a 14’ climbing wall that leads to the long zip line as well as low and high ropes challenge courses. The Day Camp has certified trained counselors who supervise the challenge courses and help lead the Camp with its emphasis on faith, trust, cooperation, love of God and love for God’s good earth through earth care Bible lessons.
The Living Nativity
2nd Weekend of December, Saturday and Sunday nights, 6-9 p.m.
Each December we offer an interactive guided walk through Bethlehem to the Living Nativity. We have been providing this 2 evening glimpse into the birth of Jesus for 18 years. The experience takes about a half an hour to walk through the various stories leading up to the Living Crèche. In this outdoor adventure you will meet travelers on the way, find there is no room at the Inn, follow God’s guiding star, and meet storytellers who will be your guides.
Walk as Mary and Joseph walked, so long ago, feel the drama and music of Jesus’ birth and welcome. Dress for the weather because it will be cold outside. Hot chocolate, good fellowship, God’s praise will be found. We invite you to make this your Christmas tradition, the second weekend of December, Saturday and Sunday nights 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. No reservations are required. Come casually, but dress warmly.
